This Privacy Policy explains how Mouse SR (the “App”), operated by HP60, handles information when you use the App and this website.
1. Local processing
Mouse SR is designed to work locally on your Mac. The App processes supported mouse-wheel events on your computer to create smooth, continuous scrolling. Mouse input is not uploaded to HP60.
The App’s Finder extension also works locally. When you use an action such as opening a folder in Terminal, creating a TXT or Markdown file, or copying a path, the action is performed on your Mac.
2. Files, paths, and folders
Mouse SR does not upload the contents of your files or the paths you use with the Finder extension. Finder actions appear only in folders that you explicitly allow and their subfolders.
The App uses macOS security-scoped access and local settings to remember the folders you allow. Mouse SR does not require or request unrestricted access to your entire disk for these actions.
3. Permissions
Smooth scrolling requires Accessibility permission because macOS must allow Mouse SR to observe and replace discrete wheel events with continuous scroll events. This permission is controlled in macOS System Settings and can be removed at any time.
The Finder extension is separately controlled by macOS. You can enable or disable it in the App’s settings and in macOS extension settings.
4. Trial and license status
Mouse SR Pro includes a free seven-day trial. You start the trial in the App; it does not renew or charge automatically. After the trial, Pro features require a one-time lifetime license.
To activate Mouse SR Pro, the App sends your purchase key, a device identifier, the device name, and the app version to the Mouse SR license service. The service returns a signed activation token. The App checks that token locally and stores the activation information and trial state in the macOS Keychain. Mouse input, file contents, and file paths are not sent as part of activation.
5. Purchases, website, and support
This website does not ask you to create an account or upload files. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. It may collect information such as the pages you visit, approximate location, browser and device type, and interaction data. IP anonymization is enabled. This website analytics data does not include mouse input, file contents, or file paths from the App. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy practices.
Pro checkout is handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy practices. The Mouse SR license service receives and stores the order and payment references, buyer email and name when provided, purchase amount and currency, license status, and activation records needed to deliver and manage your license, enforce the three-Mac limit, recover purchases, provide support, and respond to refunds or payment disputes.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in your message and use it to respond to you, provide support, or handle a privacy request.
We do not use this information for advertising. Purchase, license, and support records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the license service, handle refunds or disputes, maintain support records, and meet legal obligations.
6. Children’s privacy
The App and website are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated. Please review this page periodically for the latest version.
