A complete guide to image-to-PDF, PDF-to-JPEG, merge, split, compression, OCR, image editing, watermarks, history, and local processing.
Image-to-PDF workflow
Select photos, scans, receipts, or screenshots, drag to reorder them, preview, rotate, or split images, then choose paper size, orientation, and quality before creating one PDF.
The free version converts the first 5 selected images; Premium removes the image-count limit.
Choose portrait or landscape and A3, A4, A5, A6, B4, B5, Letter, Legal, or Tabloid. Higher quality can create a larger file.
PDF-to-image workflow
Imgs2PDF renders every page as a numbered JPG. Enter the correct password for protected PDFs, then save one page or export all pages together.
The current workflow exports every page; split the PDF first if you only need selected pages.
The current output is JPEG, not PNG. PDF text becomes image pixels and can then be recognized and copied with OCR.
PDF merge workflow
Select scans, receipts, or report sections, drag them into the intended order, and merge them without a web upload. Enter each PDF password when prompted.
The free version merges the first 3 selected PDFs; Premium removes the limit.
The selected order determines the final document. Keep the originals until the result is reviewed and backed up.
PDF split workflow
Review a long PDF, select the pages you need, and create a new document without uploading the source. Password-protected PDFs continue after the correct password is entered.
Free users can select pages 1–10; Premium unlocks the entire PDF.
A new file is created without deleting the source. Check page numbers and order before export.
PDF compression
Choose low, medium, or high compression. Text-bearing pages remain PDF content; image pages may be re-encoded. If the result would be larger, the original is copied.
PDF layout and output quality
Choose A3, A4, A5, A6, B4, B5, Letter, Legal, or Tabloid when creating a PDF, then set portrait or landscape orientation. Adjust image quality to balance clarity and file size.
Crop, rotate, and split images
Crop, rotate in 90-degree steps, or use grid presets from 1×2 through 4×5. Premium adds movable custom split lines.
OCR text recognition
Recognize and copy text from image previews or PDF pages converted to images. Choose automatic or a language in Settings; OCR does not create an editable PDF.
Custom watermarks
Premium adds custom text watermarks with position, angle, and size controls. Free exports do not receive an automatic Imgs2PDF watermark.
Conversion history
Reopen, rename, export, compress, or delete locally generated results. Premium adds multi-item export and batch PDF compression.
Platforms and requirements
Version 2.0.4 supports iOS/iPadOS 17.0+, macOS 14.0+, and visionOS 2.0+.
Premium options
Monthly, yearly, and Lifetime options are shown in the app. The App Store determines availability, trials, Family Sharing, and local prices.
Image import and platform export
On iPhone and iPad, the system photo picker accepts JPG, PNG, HEIC, and other images the device can decode. On Mac, use the system file picker. PDF page images can be saved to Photos or shared on iPhone and iPad, and exported to a folder on Mac.
Password-protected PDFs
PDF-to-image, merge, and split workflows support encrypted PDFs after you enter the correct password.
How free limits are shown
Before conversion, Imgs2PDF lets you review selected items and clearly marks images, files, or pages beyond a free limit.
History filters and file deletion
Filter history by PDFs or images. Deleting a history entry can also remove its generated local files, so export anything you want to keep first.
If a conversion fails
Confirm the source opens in another system app, enter the correct PDF password, check free storage, try fewer or smaller files, and update Imgs2PDF. If the issue remains, contact App Support with the device model, system version, workflow, file type, and password-protection status.
When Internet access is needed
Core conversion, merging, splitting, compression, image editing, and OCR run on the device. Internet access is still required for App Store downloads, purchases, subscription management, and restore operations.
Local processing
Core document processing runs on the device; files are not uploaded to a web converter.
