Image2WebP Tutorial

Let's get started with Image2WebP.

Getting Started

First, go to the App Store to download Image2WebP.

Open the Image2WebP application on your Mac.

Add Images or Folders

Drag images or folders into Image2WebP, or use the file picker. You can add one file or build a batch queue.

Choose a Conversion Mode

Select Image to WebP, Image to AVIF, WebP to JPG, WebP to PNG, AVIF to JPG, or AVIF to PNG. Adjust quality and other options in Settings before starting the conversion.

Convert and Manage the Queue

Click Convert. Pausing stops new files from starting after the files currently converting finish. Resume continues with the remaining queue.

Conversion Results

Once conversion is complete, click the folder icon to reveal an output file. Depending on your settings, files can be saved to a chosen directory, beside the originals, or to a location you select before conversion.

Batch Conversion

Select or drag multiple images—or an entire folder—then choose Convert. Duplicate paths are not added again through the file picker or drag and drop. The free version processes up to 10 files per batch; Lifetime Pro removes this limit.

EXIF and Original Files

Lifetime Pro can preserve EXIF metadata, including camera details and GPS location. It can also move each source file to the macOS Trash after its conversion succeeds; this is optional and requires confirmation.

Convert from Finder

Select an image in Finder, right-click it, choose Open With, and select Image2WebP.
